An introduction to Fabrication Techniques
(Short Course)
A beginners course in practices within the Fabrication Laboratory at NQF level 5. Using CNC machines like 3D printing (includes rapid prototyping), laser cutting and CNC routering as well as casting, preparing and troubleshooting. An introduction to parametric modelling
(Short Course)
An online beginners course at NQF level 6 in direct modelling or Computer-Aided Design (CAD) using Non-uniform Rational B-splines (NURBS) based modelling interfacing with parameter-based software. Employing data-driven complex forms with high precision, efficiency and allows dynamic automated variations. Advanced Diploma in Architecture
(1 year)
A 1 year post-graduate bridge programme at NQF level 7 between undergraduate and Honours in architecture. Replaced the B. Tech programme. Designed as a collaborative programme with shared modules with the Departments of Fashion and Jewellery. Also facilitates the registration as Senior Architectural Technologist with the South African Council of the Architectural Profession. Developed for the Architecture Department at the University of Johannesburg, 2020
Higher Certificate In Architecture

An NQF Level 5 one year introductory programme in architecture to mainly develop the basic draughting, technical and computer skills to enter the industry as a Draughtsperson or to articulate into the an architectural diploma programme. Prepared for the Academic Institute ofExcelllence (AIE), 2019.
Bachelor in Architecture
(3 year)
A three year NQF level 7 programme in architecture to prepare students to either enter the industry as an Architectural Technologist or to articulate into the Honors in architecture at postgraduate level. It prepares the student with the general knowledge in architectural design, theory, drawing, technical and computer skills. Prepared for the Academic Institute of Excellence (AIE), 2019.
